The registered office of the SGT Group is located at Rezé, Loire-Atlantique, France. The site, which covers an area of 27,000 m², comprises administrative offices, a Research & Development laboratory, a quality control centre and a production unit, one of the most modern in France, equipped with 26 injection presses for producing PET preforms.

QUALITY CONTROL
SGT Algeria is certified FSSC 22000 and meet all requirements with respect to food safety and good industrial hygiene practice. Each of our sites has its own quality control laboratory (raw material control, PET granule calibration, viscosity, acetaldehyde content, colorimetry, etc.) and a production control system (cameras to monitor deviations in length and shape, inspection for material or colour defects, hollows or holes at the injection point, etc.).

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
In the context of its environmental policy, SGT offers sustainable, ecological packaging solutions such as reductions in bottle weight or the inclusion of recycled PET (RPET) in the production of new preforms. As part of this environmentally responsible approach, SGT has decided to develop its own RPET manufacturing unit in order to guarantee quality. Our SGR recycling line, located at Chalon-sur-Saône, supplies our preform factory direct from spring 2019.
HISTORY – FROM PVC COMPOUNDS TO PET PREFORMS
Foundation of the family business, Société Générale des Techniques (SGT), in Rezé, Loire-Atlantique. Supply of food-grade PVC-compound packaging to bottlers.
Exportation and enlargement of SGT France’s customer base.
Launch of the PET preforms injection-moulding business to satisfy customer demand, using four presses.
Investment in ten new injection presses by SGT France.
Establishment of a subsidiary, “SGT Algérie SPA”, at Rouïba, Algeria, producing PET preforms and HDPE caps.
The Rezé site equipped with 16 presses, Rouïba with 15. SGT offers a standard product range of 155 preforms with different geometries.
Inauguration of a second production site in Setif, eastern Algeria. SGT France awarded FSSC 22000 certification.
Investment by SGT France in five new, latest-generation injection presses, including one dedicated to multilayer applications.
SGT Algérie SPA equipped with new injection presses for caps.
SGT Algérie awarded FSSC 22000 for its factories in Rouïba and Setif.
Enlargement of the Rezé site and start of construction work on the new preform factory at Chalon-sur-Saône, Saône-et-Loire.
Start-up of SGT Chalon-Sur-Saône with 5 lastes generation injection presses.
Launch of the SGR activity with the production of recycled food grade plastic named “CIRPET”.
The SGT Chalon-sur-Saône’s site is certified FSCC 22000.
SGT Chalon acquires its 6th injection press.

SGT France is endowed with a machine base incorporating the latest technological advances. Today, it has an annual production capacity of 3.5 billion preforms.
